In a broad discussion involving NANO-players from academia and business as well as representatives of ministries, funding organisations and intermediaries the Austrian Council has developed a strategy for the comprehensive and sustainable development of nanotechnologies in Austria, the Austrian NANO-Initiative.

Nanoinitiative
The Austrian NANO Initiative is the multi-annual public funding programme for nanoscale sciences and nanotechnology. The annual public budget is EURO 15 m.

FFG Austrian Research Promotion Agency - Start up Support
This programme is open for companies which have been established for less than 3 years and have less than 250 employees. Technology oriented companies receive higher support due to the cooperation between all federal districts in Austria.

This is a special client-oriented bank for administrating grants and loans to Austrian businesses, advising business people in all phases of their company’s growth and supporting and mediating technologies and innovations.
