Abstract: Molecular electronics (or moletronics) is an interdisciplinary domain that spans physics, chemistry, materials science and sometimes biology. The unifying feature of this area is the use of molecular building blocks for the fabrication of electronic components. This report describes 12 start-ups which are active in the field of molecular electronics, in terms of their technology, key personnel, and business models.
